TOMS

When buyers purchase a pair of TOMS shoes, another pair is donated to children in need.

An up and coming entrepreneur recently visited the University of Missouri. Students gathered at Jesse Auditorium to hear Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS shoes, speak about his aspirations and dreams for his company.

Mycoskie started TOMS in 2006 after visiting Argentina and seeing first hand how many children were needed shoes. Mycoskie developed a “one-for-one” program that gives children in need a pair of shoes for every pair purchased through TOMS.

Mycoskie recently sat down with KBIA’s Kristen Brody and shared his story in this audio postcard.
