Intersection Talks Economy June 4, 2009

Intersection, a collaboration of KBIA-FM 91.3 and the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri, is a brand new community radio discussion program that fosters citizen engagement by harnessing the power of the Internet and mobile technologies.

darin_preisDarin Preis is the executive director of Central Missouri Community Action. From his blog: “I have come to believe that poverty is both the most important characteristic in the well-being of our community and the least understood.”

robin_acreeRobin Acree is a grassroots leader for women and low-income families in rural Missouri. She co-founded the empowerment organization (GRO) and has directed it through six years of amazing policy change victories for low-income Missourians.

brenda_procterBrenda Procter is a finance specialist with the University of Missouri Extension. Her research interests involve poverty and consumer protection.
