A new biodiesel production plant opened in Moberly this week. In Colubmia, Taylor Reeh has more on area soybean farmers are investing in the unique business model.

Historically, unemployment in Missouri has been lower than the rest of the nation, but since 2004, the state’s Department of Economic Development reports Missouri’s rate has averaged a little higher than the rest of the country. Well, as mid-Missouri finds itself reeling from the effects of this recession, the city of Columbia has hired a new director of economic development to help steer the region toward economic prosperity. Sean Powers recently spoke to the incoming director. Hosted by Janet Saidi.
